1. By way of the present petition filed under Section 482 of the Code
of Criminal Procedure, 1973, petitioners seek directions thereby quashing
of FIR No.60/2012 registered at Police Station Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi for
the offences punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and the
consequential proceedings emanating therefrom against them.
2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that
the aforesaid case was registered on the complaint of respondent No.2,
namely, Smt. Nazmeen on 09.10.2012 consequent upon certain
matrimonial and domestic disputes having arisen between the parties.
Thereafter, both the parties approached the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari
Courts, Delhi and settled their disputes on 07.07.2014 for an amount of
Rs.1,10,000/- as full and final settlement. Consequent thereto, marriage

between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has been dissolved as per
the Muslim customary rites. The aforesaid settlement amount has already
been received by respondent no. 2 on 23.09.2014. Therefore, she does not
want to pursue the case further against the petitioners.
