Three new Judges in the Supreme Court

Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, Justice Arun Mishra and senior advocate Rohinton Mistry sworn in as the judges of the Supreme Court of India. They were administered the oath of the office by Chief Justice R.M. Lodha.

With these new appointments, the existing strength of the apex court judges has gone up from 25 to 28. The sanctioned strength is 31 judges in case of Apex Courts.

Before being elevated as the justices of apex court, Justice Arun Kumar Goel was the chief justice of Orissa High Court and Justice Arun Mishra was the chief justice of Calcutta High Court.
