1. Vide the present petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 1973, petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 178/2012
registered at Police Station Baba Hari Das Marg, Delhi, for the offences
punishable under Sections 308/34 IPC and the consequential proceedings
emanating therefrom against them.
2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that
the aforesaid case was registered on the complaint of respondent No.2,
Smt. Manju, due to scuffle took place, wherein respondent No.2 received
injuries. The petitioners No. 1 and 2 are brothers-in-law of respondent
No.2/complainant. The police has filed the charge sheet, however,
cognizance is not yet taken. Meanwhile, with the intervention of elder

members of the family and relatives, the matter is amicably settled
between the petitioners and the respondent No.2. Therefore, the
respondent No.2 does not want to pursue this case further against the
petitioners.
