1. Vide the present petition; petitioners seek directions thereby
quashing of FIR No. 136/2014 registered at Police Station CAW Cell,
Nanak Pura, New Delhi for the offences punishable under Sections
498A/406/34 IPC against them.
2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that
the aforesaid case was registered on the complaint of respondent No.2,
namely, Smt. Payal due to some matrimonial disputes. Thereafter, the
matter was settled between the parties before Mediation Cell, Dwarka
Courts, New Delhi on 26.09.2014 and consequent thereto, marriage
between the petitioner no.1 and the respondent no. 2 has been dissolved
vide decree of divorce dated 27.05.2015. As per the settlement, petitioners

have agreed to pay an amount of Rs.08,80,000/- towards full and final
settlement. Out of which an amount of Rs.2,80,000/- and Rs.3,00,000/-
has been paid to the respondent no.2 at the time of first motion and second
motion respectively and remaining amount of Rs.3,00,000/- has been paid
to her today in the Court. Thus, respondent no. 2 does not want to pursue
the case further against the petitioners.
