1. By way of this petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 1973, petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 165/2009
registered at Police Station Nanakpura, Delhi, for the offences punishable
under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and the consequential proceedings
emanating therefrom against the petitioners.
2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submit that

the aforesaid case was registered on the complaint of respondent No.2,
namely, Ms. Neena Verma, consequent upon certain matrimonial and
domestic disputes having arisen between the parties. Meanwhile, the
petitioners and the respondent No.2 have amicably settled their disputes
for a total sum of Rs.8,90,000/- (Eight Lacs Ninety Thousand). To this
effect, joint statement of the petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 has been
recorded on 01.12.2014 by the learned Principal Judge, Family Courts,
Vishwas Nagar, Delhi. As per the said settlement, a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-
(Five Lacs) has already been paid, a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- (Two Lacs Fifty
Thousand) was paid at the time of recording of aforenoted joint statement
on 01.12.2014 and the balance amount of Rs.1,40,000/- (One Lac Forty
Thousand) is paid today by way of Demand Draft bearing No.147199
dated 15.09.2015, drawn on Oriental Bank of Commerce, Gandhi Nagar,
Delhi, in favour of the respondent No.2, which facts have not been
disputed by the respondent No.2.
