2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent-State
submitted that the respondent No.2, present in the Court has been
identified to be the complainant/first-informant in the FIR in question
by her counsel.
3. The factual matrix of the present case is that the marriage
between the petitioner no.1 and the respondent no.2 was solemnized
on 15.04.2012 at New Delhi. The husband of the complainant was an
alcoholic. In the first week of May 2012, the husband of the

complainant came home drunk and gave beatings to the complainant.
The complainant used to complaint about the same to her in-laws but
they never paid any heed. The mother-in-law of the complainant used
to tell her that she has committed a big mistake by getting her son
married to the complainant. In August, 2012, the complainant started
working in a Company and her husband started taunting her saying
that she is having an extra marital affair. In January, 2013 the
complainant got pregnant and her husband was very displeased with
the same. The mother-in-law of the complainant threatened her that if
she gives birth to a female child then she will be killed. One day, the
in-laws of the complainant tied her hands and poured petrol on her and
forced her to get the child aborted. All the jewelry articles of the
complainant were still at her matrimonial home. The complainant gave
birth to a female child and her in-laws did not even come to see them
in the hospital.
