1. By way of this petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 1973, petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 167/1999
registered at Police Station Farsh Bazar, Delhi, for the offences
punishable under Sections 498A/34 IPC and the consequential
proceedings emanating therefrom against them.
2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submit that
the aforesaid case was registered on the complaint of respondent No.2,
namely, Smt. Manju Yadav, consequent upon certain matrimonial and
domestic disputes having arisen between the parties. Meanwhile, the
petitioners and the respondent No. 2 have amicably settled their disputes

vide compromise dated 20.07.2011 arrived at before the Delhi Mediation
Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi, for a total sum of Rs.3,50,000/-
(Three Lacs Fifty Thousand). Out of which a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- (Two
Lacs Fifty Thousand) has already been paid to the respondent No. 2 and
the balance amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lac) is paid today in cash to the
respondent No.2, which facts have not been disputed by the respondent
